Want to pay less for gas? There's a class you can take at Turlock Adult School.

Michael Parker is reaching out to the Turlock community by teaching people about electric cars.

As a Turlock Adult School teacher, he will instruct a class about converting gasoline fueled cars to electric cars and explain why this is economical and beneficial for the environment, he said.

"It's to reduce pollution in my home town area," he said about why he's teaching the class.

Over a 10-day period, students will watch a 1990 Volkswagon Cabriolet be converted to an electric car. Parker wants more people to realize the benefits of driving electric cars.
