ARMY Provides Electric 'Chariots' To Park Rangers

Park rangers of the Huron-Clinton Park Authority at Kensington Metropark, in Milford, Mich., have received two American Chariot personal transport vehicles from the Army’s National Automotive Center, in Warren, Mich.

The electric-powered vehicles are part of the soldier mobility program that "tests vehicles in military and commercial scenarios before providing them to soldiers in the field," said an official.

The three-wheeled transports have a top speed of 20 miles per hour and a range of 15 miles. They can carry up to 350 pounds.
